Melbourne QTF started with one van, one crew, and one goal — do the job right. What began as residential flooring installation has grown year by year into a full-service flooring business, trusted by builders, developers, and homeowners across Melbourne.
But the growth hasn't just been about more vans on the road. Every year, our skillset grew with us. We went from floating installation to mastering engineered flooring direct stick installation, then added hybrid herringbone and engineered herringbone patterns, and expanded further into floating vinyl installation. What we can deliver today is vastly more than what we could offer on day one — and that gap only widens as we keep building.
Our Journey
One van, one crew, one mission. We launched MQTF with a focus on timber and hybrid flooring — floating installation was our foundation, and we laid it well. Every job was a chance to sharpen our craft.
We added a second van and took on larger residential projects — including our first multi-unit jobs. This was also the year we mastered engineered flooring direct stick installation, a technically demanding method that delivers superior results on concrete subfloors and high-rise apartments.
Three vans, and our most significant skill leap yet. We added hybrid herringbone and engineered herringbone installation to our repertoire — intricate, pattern-laid flooring that requires precision cutting, careful layout planning, and a high level of craftsmanship. Not every installer offers this. We do.
A major milestone — we opened our first Melbourne showroom, giving clients a space to see, touch, and choose their flooring in person. This year we also expanded into floating vinyl installation, meeting growing demand for durable, water-resistant flooring solutions in kitchens, bathrooms, and commercial spaces.
With four vans in operation, MQTF became a go-to subcontractor for multi-unit residential developments across Melbourne.
